Blue Moon Belgian White Ale
The Blue Moon Brewing Company was founded in Golden, Colorado in 1995. Coors does not advertise the fact that the brew is owned by Coors on the belief that being associated with a major brewery would diminish its credibility among aficionados. Blue Moon is instead branded as being brewed by the "Blue Moon Brewing Company." They brew a number of seasonal brews but the White Ale is their most popular. The beer is orange-amber in color with a cloudy appearance because it is unfiltered.
Blue Moon has a more pronounced orange flavor than many other beers of the style. With an emphasis on old-world brewing techniques, Blue Moon Belgian White is brewed with white wheat, oats, select hops, and the perfect combination of coriander and orange peel. These ingredients make an incredibly refreshing, drinkable craft beer. To enhance the experience, Blue Moon Belgian White is best served with an orange-slice garnish, which helps bring out the natural spices and subtle fruit flavor.
